Health Disparities

With observed disparities in most, if not all, chronic diseases, there is a need to move beyond documentation to an improved understanding of the underlying mechanisms as well as the interplay between risk factors that drive differences across groups in the incidence, morbidity, mortality and survival of the major causes of mortality. In CDE program, we are conducting studies using both large data sets as well as originally collected data from local, regional, national, and global settings.
